Quick thinking halts blaze
A small fire sparked in the backroom of Mauro's Market, a downtown convenience store and deli, yesterday afternoon and four Southborough firefighters and a ladder truck from Marlborough responded.
Employees were moving boxes upstairs via a conveyor belt when the belt motor overheated and briefly caught on fire.

It's clear Ron Dycus really loves the High Life Lounge
An old power line on the roof couldn't handle the amount of electricity going to the building after a new air-conditioning unit was installed and the owners of High Life opened another bar next door. The line melted in half.
"All of a sudden there was an explosion on the roof and all kinds of white smoke."
Dycus saw the emergency unfold, so he was able to jump into action.
